It’s a bit silly, actually.
I called this blog The Rational Gamer, but I’m not really that guy. It’s an idea. A direction. Someone I’d like to become.
You might expect that a person who wants to be a rational gamer… well, actually plays games. The thing is I don’t. Not right now.
I decided to make 2026 a no-games year.
Why?
First of all, it’s simply easier for me to quit games entirely than to constantly try to control myself. It’s not laziness, it’s being tired. That’s reason number one.
Reason number two is that I want to give myself some space to think. I want to calm down, slow down, and lower my dopamine levels.
And reason number three: I have way too many unfinished projects. I’d really like to see them through. Every time I launched a game, I could almost hear them calling me:
“Patryk, we’re still unfinished…”
That has to change.
So here we are: a very brief explanation of why this site exists.
I hope it grows into something bigger.
